Boca del Monte Kinder

Boca del Monte Kinder is in a Maya Chorti village, about a half hour ride from Copan town with almost 50 kindergartners.

During 2010 this school was completely transformed by Project School Supplies.

This is the school before being renovated:

They had just 11 crayons to share among them. Their roof was leaking, the windows were boarded up because the wire was all torn. They had virtually no school supplies or books and as you can see in the photos the desks and floor were a mess.

The kids came to school dressed in shreds with no school uniforms. Very few of the children even had shoes.

The teachers were very enthusiastic, supportive and hard working and the villagers were extremely appreciative that Project School Supplies came to help them.
